Karen will cover the proper techniques of how to prune for growth and production. She will cover the more common fruit trees &#8212; apple, pears, and plums, but will also include kiwis and figs.<\/p>\n<p>Please bring the following to make the class a valuable, hands-on experience:<\/p>\n<p>Pruners, saws, appropriate orchard ladders (see Ladder Safety Training attachment for what is considered appropriate), gloves, sturdy shoes, alcohol to clean tools<\/p>\n<p><b>Each attendee must be certified in ladder safety<\/b>. To become certified, please read the\u00a0<b><a title=\"Ladder Safety Training\" href=\"http:\/\/jcmgf.org\/mg2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/Ladder_Safety_training_Jeffcopdf.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ladder Safety_training_Jeffco<\/a><\/b> document (attached) and watch the short videos (links provided in document). Also, complete and bring the attached <a title=\"Ladder test\" href=\"http:\/\/jcmgf.org\/mg2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/ladder_test.doc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ladder_test<\/a> document to the workshop.
